I knew God had healed me - Lucy
In 1988 I was
diagnosed with skin cancer. I was afraid I would die. A few months earlier my
mother had died from Leukaemia, and then my brother had been murdered. I
thought "bad things always happen in 3's", and I was sure I would be next.
Through a set of circumstances I met some brothers from the Revival Fellowship,
who told me that I needed to be baptized and filled with the Holy Spirit to be
saved. I asked them to pray for me to be healed, but I never told them what I
was suffering from. A few days later I had to undergo some tests, and when I
went back to the hospital to get the results I was told "you're a very lucky
girl - the cancer has completely disappeared!". I praised God because I knew
that He had healed me. I told everyone that I met what He had done for me. But
inside myself I knew that I still wasn't right with Him. Later that year I was
followed up by some other brothers who showed me from the scriptures that I
still needed to be born again. I received the Holy Spirit, speaking in tongues,
and was immediately baptized in water. Now I truly know the Lord. |
